Interior design

This comprehensive interior design and renovation project reimagined a traditional chalet into a bold, contemporary alpine home with subtle Scandinavian influences.

The brief was to create a refined chalet atmosphere using a palette of greys, blacks and warm wood tones, while maximising storage and enhancing the sense of space, light and functionality throughout.

Project elements

• Interior design of the entrance, kitchen, living room, staircase area, bathrooms, bedrooms, study, laundry room, basement lounge and hallway
• Design of bespoke, floor-to-ceiling cabinetry throughout the entire chalet, including the kitchen and bathrooms
• Definition of the complete colour palette, wall finishes and material concept
• Selection of tiles for the ground floor and basement
• Complete lighting design and electrical planning
• Detailed interior drawings for custom-made furniture and built-in solutions

Design solutions

To maintain visual calm despite extensive storage requirements, all cabinetry was designed floor-to-ceiling with clean, architectural lines and a restrained, cohesive colour palette. Moreover, storage was fully integrated into the architecture, allowing the spaces to feel generous, organised and uncluttered.

Open niches were carefully incorporated into the bespoke cabinetry to introduce depth, layering and visual rhythm. This approach prevented the darker tones from feeling heavy and enhances the spatial perception throughout the chalet.

With the flooring finished entirely in tile, warmth was introduced through a carefully curated material palette and the integration of wood within the custom elements.

The combination of dark accents, soft grey shades and warm wood gave the chalet a sophisticated and contemporary character with a subtle Scandinavian influence.

Meanwhile, special attention was given to the lighting design and electrical layout, shaping the atmosphere, and reinforcing the architectural flow of the spaces.

This resulted in a high-end chalet renovation where bespoke design, spatial clarity and meticulous detailing come together in a cohesive and timeless alpine interior.
